Jessa is a third year developmental psychology graduate student, working with Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek. After earning a B.A. in Psychology from Cornell University, Jessa spent two years as a research assistant at the Yale Child Study Center's Developmental Disabilities Clinic. As a graduate student, she is investigating how an arts-enriched preschool pedagogy may foster school readiness skills. In addition, she is exploring how maternal responsiveness scaffolds and promotes early verb learning.
