Initiative 5:
Develop infrastructure for the science of spatial learning

Initiative Coordinators: Ken Forbus and Larry Hedges

The scientific research in Initiatives 1-4 is aimed in part at creating products that we expect will be widely useful in the science of learning. These products include technologies, notably CogSketch, coding and assessment instruments, and educational toolkits and workbooks. Although each of these efforts is embedded within our four research initiatives, the purpose of Initiative 5 is to manage the development of these products so as to maximize their usefulness to the field, making sure they are accessible and understandable, and evaluating impediments to their pickup and adoption so as to give timely feedback to the developers.
